I can't think of ANY differences between 98 and 99 my's. If it were my truck, I'd get the same model year manual...you're not spending much for the manuals v. what you will save after 1 or 2 repairs. No one with a manual would disagree.

If you're stuck on the 98 discounted set, there were 2 editions for that year. Helm sent me the 2nd edition at no charge once it printed. I sent my first edition set gratis to a guy that contributed much to this board a long time ago & who unfortuneately is no longer with us.

www.helminc.com is the source for gm manuals.

Only thing the manuals don't cover is repair of trannys and transfer cases, helm should have the TURM books if this is what you need. Allow around 10 inches of shelf space :)

: What are the differences between the 98 and 99 subs and/or manuals? I can buy a 98 OEM 4 volume manual set at a discount, but my rig is a late year 99 4x4 7.4L with all factory options added.
: Thanks
