Front Rotors Removal?

I've stripped the front brakes down to the rotor and removed the axle nut and washer/keeper. The rotors appear to be a single unit with lug studs attached. I'm having a tough time removing this off the axle. Any tips? Do I need to remove the entire unit off the transaxle, just in front on the boot, and have a shop press it off? I got OEM manuals on there way, but with a trip to San Fran in two weeks, towing the kids stuff back; the missies was getting edgy, as my projects usually run much longer than expected. Case in point - this project!
