No more Costco tires for me

Or at least for vehicles not driven by me.

#2 daughter went to visit #1 daughter in southern Calif this weekend and had a flat front passenger. Bridgestone Potenza's.

Since "I" bought them, they would not warranty or work on it for free.

Insisted on the card holder be there, even though they could see the original purchase documentation in their DB.

Tires were almost gone and about time to buy new, but wanted to get a few more months before the rainy season gets here.

Plus they will only put on OEM size/type of tire.

These are a bit over sized and did so on purpose.

No time, nor is she proficient in shopping for new tires, so told her to go with the Michelin's instead of the BFG they wanted her to buy.

She should be home some time today and I'll have to check them out and write her a check to cover. A bit over $400 bucks.

No more Costco tires for most of my vehicles and national brands that will take anyone in for repair/adjustment, as long as the purchase certificate is in the glove box.

Was looking at BigO-Tire, but they changed their warranty to life of the tread. Was "life time". So nothing special about them anymore.

Ranting off...
