Plastic tanks are cheaper to rebuild, at least in my neck of the woods (SF Bayarea, CA).

Was a metal tank guy till my Sub's plugged up from DeathCool.

$89 bucks and included taking it out of the vehicle.

There are two sizes and the 'short' neck is the 'bigger' one for the big block.

Short neck because the tank is larger for a bigger ATF cooler inside.

Agree on towing vs electric fans. Don't if you tow and consider a Heavy Duty or even a Severe Duty fan clutch. NOTE that fan clutches have an "up" orientation that must be kept min 24 hours before installing. Otherwise high percentage of DOAs after installation.
