My '93 Suburban has anaemic high beam lighting so am planning to have the composit low beams powered when high beam selected.
Have done a trial run substituting a Bosch relay where the left high beam lamp plugs in (controlling circuit)
Then I ran a fused supply from the Accessory Bus to term
30---87 to the composit lamp(s).Both low and high illuminate which raises the question:
Will one relay suffice?
Will I exceed the 30 Amp raiting with one relay? (4 lamps on)
Would I be better off having one relay for each composit pair (low/high)?
Some of you will see I have powered the lights from the hot accessory bus in the engine bay, rather than through the dash light switch(stock)
And to add to the equation:
I intend to maintain the DRL fnction the the high beam only.
Feasible?
Thanks in advance
Rolf
