: FWIW, according to the cap, the valve manufacturer is EHA. In 35 years of driving, I've never had valve stem failure before. So my advice is to check yours carefully for cracks, and double check them if they are EHAs.

The valve that failed is labeled "EHA Germany" and "TR600HP". (The HP stands for High Pressure.) The photo is from their website and they look to be a pretty reputable company. But I have also found a couple of disturbing links via google on the TR600HP. So maybe they accidently let a bad batch escape, and I got a set...

In any event, I got 4 new valves installed, and they are the normal all-rubber version. Only good to 65 psi, but my tires never see those pressures anyway.
