OT: MS IE8

Anyone tried the upgrade to IE-8 yet?
I tried it out, but apparently because I wouldn't accept all of their options, it slowed my browser down to pre-dialup speeds. Very annoying. I downgraded to IE7 and it runs lightning quick.
I would switch it all to Firefox, but my wife doesn't understand the difference.
