Idiots, the whole lot of them. Lawyers, accountants, etc writing laws governing things
based on a technology

Locally several news programs have reported that their investigations show that the typical
user/buyer will lease, as they could not normally afford these new purchases.

That then takes away $2K-$3K per month from the local economy.

Then since they really can't afford that deal, they will have a very high percentage defaults

Local non-profits getting hit hard too, as these clunkers would have gone to them in the form of donations.

Since these clunkers must be destroyed and not going into the used part (junk yards), the cost and
availability of parts is going haywire.

Not deep thinkers and idiots, IMHO
