Lower ball joint

The grease fitting on my 97 Yukon 4WD front lower ball joint was cracked. I guess the ball joint still OK since no noise or wierd feeling on steering and some fresh grease still left inside the rubber boot. Does anyone know that I can just replace the rubber boot or I have to replace the whole joint? I read the Hynes, it seems the job is quite involved. I am hoping that I can just change the boot. The website for Schuck's has boots for 2WD but not sure if it will fit to 4WD. If it available, does dealer have the part?
