OT...XP auto update conflicts with Zone Alarm

Just getting back on line with a 'good' and 'regular' connection after #1) heat fried the router up in the attic, #2) XP auto update and then couldn't access the internet.

Finally my nephew found some news about MS XP auto update conflicts and to turn or un-install ZA.

Here are some threads on it and am using XP's fire wall for now. Some time this week going to try going back to ZA
