Greetings All, This has been a great board over the years with my Suburban, since my 2500 is so similar thought i would post my question here for commentary.

When traveling at highway speeds, 55-75mph, I have noticed a slight and occasional hesitation in the engine. As if suddenly encountered a strong wind pushing on the truck.

If one watches the stock oil pressure gauge when one of these hesitations occur the oil pressure reading drops from the 70psi? area to just under 50psi? and then returns.

I have owned the truck since 2002 and 20K with a reasonable maintenance schedule adhered to and no major issues EXCEPT for the Death-cool upper intake manifold drip of death.

The gasket/s were replaced the day after the coolant pool of death appeared on the garage floor. That took place about 18 months and 20K miles ago.

Have had the oil analyzed at intervals since the death-cool incident with no coolant noted then or since- just an interesting elevated Chlorine level which cannot really be accounted for. Perhaps, I have been adding too much Chlorine and THATS why my eyes burn when I drive it. (hahahaha).

Seriously, I am making a nexus between the death cool and the oil pressure issue. Perhaps they are not related.

Seeking your collective guidance, I would like to avoid an expensive funeral for my 454 unless on my terms. Should I be picking out a minister, suit, and some music? All thoughts appreciated- where to start?
