That lead washer is buried in the outer lug plastic cover.

Have to dig it out and I've ended up just cutting the whole plastic cover on the blade portion off to
leave the barrel cover on.

Image is of my first and has been replaced by a store bought version. Link is to Crutchfield page,
and again, any automotive parts should have something in this line.

The first image of mine has 4 lugs. 2 OEM that has the plastic cover stripped back to the barrel
and a 3rd for my alarm. The 4th is my aux setup with 3 #8 gauge wire for my custom aux fuse box
For lighting and anything else I might some day do


When you cut off the plastic check for battery acid rot. If it goes into the wire, continue to
either dig it out or replace the cable. As it has a history of wicking down to the starter to ruin that
