I'm showing 25335578 (AC Delco SK1097) for the front sensor and 89060642 (SK1052) for the rear. I could be wrong about the numbers but if you have two tanks you have two sensors.....no question.

The service info is garbage and I haven't had to diagnose one of these systems myself so I'm not sure how ONE bad sensor effects the gauge display. It's possible if one always showed empty and one worked normal that you could get a value somewhere in the middle (or lower/higher).

The rear tank waits until there is room and then pumps the fuel into the front tank....maybe your staying on Full has to do with normal function? We need other dual tank guys to jump in with their experience.
