I'm being told by the service writer at the dealership that the sensor is only sold seperately from the pump.. I'm calling that BS... I still have the original pump that I replaced a year ago. I pulled it out of the box tonight, hooked up an ohm-meter and low and behold, the level sensor works. I'm not putting the old one in there.. I will replace it with a new one ($176 from dealer) but I'm still trying to figure an angle to get it covered under warranty.. the whole assembly was purchased 2 months ago...

Here is a picture of the whole assembly, the level sensor is mounted to the side.
