When I ran out of fuel, I had gone 321 miles, about 100 of those miles with 7k+ in tow, through the mojave desert (AC blasting) and up very long hills... Based on the milage I'm used to, that sounds like a full tank of gas, not 3/4.

Currently, my fuel guage always shows empty even when I have filled it completely. It gave some unreliable readings for a little while after I picked it up from the dealer, but then it settled on 'E' and has been happy there for probably 800 miles.

While I agree that I can't be 100% certain the rear pump is working (my milage makes me think is is though), I do think there is something seriously wrong with the sensor since the level reading won't move.
