Just back from picking it up and then running some errands

$2,500.00 with a 2 year warranty with no mileage limits

100% rebuilt and reconditioned.

New TC and found something out about that. Didn't know that there is a clutch in the TC for lock
up. Thought pawl or something like that. There is something he does to it and lasts longer than OEM

He used to be a master ASE at a local Honda dealership and NONE of his auto rebuilds ever
came back, nor wore out that he knows of

Says the key for this era auto is that the upper clutches do NOT get splash lubed and he modifies
some thing to solve that. He does NOT like the OEM kit with an electric pump, as he says that
pump is both noisy and fails too often.

Agrees with AJohnson about the external ATF cooler and FILTER.

DO NOT use anything other than Honda ATF.

It now shifts much better. Lock-up is now solid and stays engaged all the way down to about
35-25MPH while coasting down from highway speed.

Lock-up also engages with authority, when before it kinda sorta engaged.

He says MPG should increase a bit, as they all slip while dieing and why the debris in the ATF
and on the drain magnet.

After going through the numbers and logistics, for 'me', going local with this mechanic was
better than Gator. Nothing against Gator, just that my guy does an exceptional job of it.

Will post another update in a few weeks
