My sympathies. Six vehicles and three drivers here, with two more getting their learners permits in 15 days. I keep a TODO list on each of the vehicles, and all of them always need one thing or another. Even the one with only 12k miles. Just a matter of priorities as to which things get done next. (Did two fuel pumps in the last 3 months...)

For the burned out brake light, maybe a LED replacement is available? (Be careful - some may not be as bright as would be desired. Or emit in the right directions to be compatible with the design of the reflector+lens.) For brake lights in particular, advocates point out that LEDs come to full brightness faster than incandescent bulbs. So at speed, give the car behind you a little extra warning time for better safety.
