I got a 3 ton jack from Sam's Club many years ago and never looked back. Even if a 2 ton jack would do, the 3 ton had a longer handle, the release valve actuated by twisting the handle, and so on. The work needed to jack up the Sub is much less with the 3 ton and the handle is longer so you can reach in and jack the rear axle itself up.

I would recommend going with the 3 ton model.

: I bought a Lincoln jack from Costco several years back. Works great. Large lifting cup and wide beam. I use a block of wood to match the jack points on the vehicles. If it is one that needs the sheet metal cutout, then I notch the wood.
: Lifting the 3T Sub with a 2T jack is not bad when you raise no more than 2 wheels at a time. Cheaper jacks will not last, and I had a lighter weight jack that nearly buckled after a few years of use.
