Hi All -
I just replaced the passenger side hood spring on my 'burb, and I wanted to share what I learned, hoping that it makes the job easier for the next person.
Parts: GM P/N 15035592 (2002 3/4T 4WD 8.1 suburban)
Tools: Torque Wrench, 13mm socket, assistant
1) Support hood with board or assistant. My hood would not stay up with only one spring.
2) Remove spring assembly by removing two bolts.
3) Attach new spring assembly. Hood may need to be lifted to align holes.
4) Torque bolts to 18 ft lb.
This was an easy job.
