My son has a 99. Bought it for looks. That era Grand Am is not the greatest car in the world, not even the greatest GM ever made.

That being said, this is just hydraulic hose, and should be replacable with a little thought without shelling out what GM wants for replacement hoses. Take the hose out and bring it to a good hydraulic shop, even parts stores make hoses around here. With the right combination of fittings and hose, they should be able to fix you up.

: 2002 Grand Am. . . She heard a pop and now no power steering. I'm figuring the high pressure hose. But would like the hear thoughts. I haven't gotten up to look at it yet. She lives 90 minutes north now. . .

: Seems this has happened before and the I found the previous owner cut and flared the tubing and just repolaced the hose. I'm struggling with leaving it that way or replacing the whole thing.
