Thanks for the reply.

I will get that tool, have been using small channel lock pliers easily.

One of the 5/8" stems on the "Y" plastic pipe broke today (3 days after I replaced the hoses and heater valve). Dumped the coolant.

Did a field repair at the park with wife and kids waiting using Dorman HELP # 56387 Metal heater hose "T". It is 5/8" on each end. The OEM hoses are 3/4" on one end and 5/8" on the other two.

It is holding for now until I source another metal "T" heater hose fitting with properly matched (to hoses) ends. Going to check Graingers or McMaster-Carr to see what they have.

I'm sure the original oem "T" plastic heater hose fitting (I've replaced once) isn't going to last very long either. Both of these fitting should be metal in my book.
