dashboard replacement

My 1995 Suburban is still in great shape, but the dashboard has not fared well. This dashboard is just hard plastic with no padding, and it has become very brittle. The combination of sun, heat, and age have cracked the dash is several places. Unfortunately the primary mount points (positioned on the top side near the defroster vents) have all snapped from their bolts. The dash now just sits in place without being bolted to anything. The dash doesn't move around, but there are rattles and squeaks as you might imagine. This is more of an annoyance than a serious problem.

Anyone else experience similar problems? Has anyone had to replace a dashboard like this? I have all kinds of nightmare scenarios in my mind about how difficult replacing it would be. Also, I'm not even sure if a quality replacement dash could even be obtained.

At 126K miles perhaps I'll just put up with it, but thought I'd ask.
