So wha tI have is that when using heat (although I think I had it happen once when using AC), you put the temp up to hot to warm up the interior. After reaching a comfortable temp, you want to moderate the temp by turning the temp control to something less than full hot. The dial turns but the temp does not change. Unfortunately, this usally happens when driving highway since my city trips are usually just long enough to get the air hot and then I arrive at y destination. On the highway, I wait until the next rest stop or fueling stop and when I restart the vehicle, the temp control works again.

I recall hearing control doors opening/closing but I can't recall if they were when changing the output (vent/floor/windshield) or the temp.
