ABS

On my 2002 Sub (3/4 ton) sometimes when you come to a gentle stop, just before the Sub stops, the ABS kicks in and cycles a few times.

I am thinking the ABS ring and sensor may have some rust on them and causing some false reading when you are almost stopped. When you are going slow there are very few counts per second from the ABS sensor, so if some corrosion on the toothed ring causes a missed pulse, the ABS thinks you are locking up.

Did anyone have this problem? The brakes work fine otherwise.

Steve
