: : Having similar problems with AC on 2004 sub. What did you find out with your AC's? Thanks.
: Took it in and found massive leaks in the front condensor. Some leakage in rear. end result was that I had the condensor replaced but left the rear intact. Tech is very concerned about trying to open up rear due to age, rust and need to also touch the rear heat assembly. My Sub is a 2000 living in the rust belt so there is significant rust and corrosion. Tech saw dye and oil near rear unit but pressure was holding so we decided to monitor it and address it if it leaks down before end of summer. Likely remedy is to cap rear A/C lines as prospect of replacing rear A/C lines/parts and rear heating parts due to corrosion is way more expensive. I am not happy with that approach but also not sure about investing big dollars. Just the front condensor work ran me about $500.
: Good luck and let us know what happens.

well, they said it was the rear hoses leaking under the vehicle where it ties to the rest of the ac by the rear tire. they had replaced the o rings there earlier, but they cleaned it better and said that was the only place dye was leaking out. said to drive for a few days and we will see. thanks for the info. will keep you updated
