: My daughter s 93 Park Ave's brake light is on; additionally it has the ding ding ding of the alert tone that runs continuously. The light and tone are intermittent. It sounds like the emergency brake has been left on. Any suggestions on a troubleshooting method? She's here for the night and back home, 250 miles away, tomorrow night.

It could be that the Emergency-Brakes-ON sensor switch is stuck. Take a look at the Emergency Brake assembly area to see if you can spot the switch plunger. Push it in and out by hand to see if the problem goes away. If it is, then, it is simply a matter of replacing that switch!
