Sounds like your MC has failed but don't recommend rebuilding them these days.

Get a new one. The toughest part if bench bleeding it and bleeding the whole system.

If you have never done this, also recommend you have a mechanic do it, or if you are in the SF Bayarea, PM me and we can discuss some help showing you HOW2 DIY (you'll do the wrenching).

Since a 99, it has rear drum/shoes. They do NOT consume fluid, as the shoes push back any that is sent there via the brake pedal. Then the adjuster keeps the shoes 'out there' so that it will contact the drum when the pedal is pressed.

It is about time to check out the whole system too and is something recommend whenever a major component fails, as the other components are not far behind. Since taking apart some areas, why not do the rest if the budget allows.
