Those deals are crazy.
When I was in college, I worked on campus so I liked to park as close as possible. Most times, there was room in a vacant lot that was accessible off the alley. Parked that way for a few years until the college bought the block and campus cops kicked us off. I did bump my door on a tree once; bodyshop 101.
