A/C Compressor. 95K1500. Noise or Normal??

I replaced the A/C about 6 years ago with full conversion to 134. It has worked well since. But this summer I am hearing some noise.

It is like a "purring" sound or the sound of a 12 volt air compressor. Not loud. I can hear it only when the fan is on low and the truck is at a stoplight.

Is this noise or normal? Am I facing another compressor failure? Is there anything I should do now to forestall the failure??
