Will be keeping my 1996 8,6K GVWR 7.4L till the wheels fall off.

Know it well vs starting all over again with a new one, or if used, whatever the previous owner(s) did/didn't do to it.

Paid for since around 1998 and only expenses and whatever goodies it might get.

Ditto the 1980 Silverado C10.

The only 'new' vehicle for me will be an EV or hybrid to charge off the grid or photovoltaics.

My advice is to keep it, especially if you are noodling something else in the same catagory.
