Problem #1 - 2000 K1500 Sub
The wife complains that during a recent ice storm, the passenger side mirror didn't defrost even though the driver side did when she turned on the rear defroster. Both mirrors are original and have the squiggly lines indicating that they should be heated. Any ideas how to troubleshoot or test?

Problem #2 - 1997 Chevy Lumina sedan
Now that winter has arrived and daily temperatures are 25-35, my gear shift lever has become VERY difficult to move. As if moving a very stiff linkage. No noises and it does go but with significant muscle power. Gets slightly better as the car warms. With the car at operating temps when I arrive at my destination, it is easier to move into park but still somewhat stiff. Is this something to act on or just another pain in the ... not worth paying to repair?
