I'm driving my parents 91 Caddy STS and think similar to a Buick Park Ave. 4.?L V8 and a very nice car.

Since your Buick is about 1L smaller, it's not going to be the hot rod that the STS is. It acutally smokes many muscle cars !

There is one problem and it is with the all aluminum V8. The block is two piece with a cylinder liner. Don't know if cast iron or steel liner, but the issue is that the block/liner develops coolant leaks.

Usually around at 80K miles and above.

Is this V6 all aluminum?

Key to managing that is to keep the coolant (DeathCool) flushed every 2 years, regardless of the warranty claim of 5yr/100K miles. Keeping the engine 'cool' and not knock.

I just changed out the fuel pump at around 109K miles, so that Buick is about due if it hasn't been changed yet. Changed the fuel filter about 2 years ago.

Tough on front tires, especially if the pressure is on the low side. I run mine at 40PSI and the tire side wall listed max is 44PSI.
