This is a TBI engine right?
I'd look at secondary ignition first.
Cap and rotor, plug wires, etc.
A good test: when it's running OK, brake torque it slightly while spraying down the ignition with a small spray bottle of water. I start at the plugs and work my way back to the dist.
If it's starts to misfire as you spray, replace the ignition components as applicable.
