NEVER replace a two piece drive shaft with a single piece. Introduces vibration and all kinds of ills.

When any one U-Joint needs replacement, replace all of them. Not a whole lot of money and saves grief down the road.

Proper way is to have the U-joint bearing cups pressed out. A small hand crank press works for me (it's a 1/2 ton job bought for think around $25 bucks years ago). Other method is 9/16" socket hammered onto/into one end of the spider and the other end comes out. You need to make an anvil of some sort. Have done this nuermous times offroading. Becareful of the hammer blows, as any miss hits can bend the yoke.

Note the orientation between the yokes so that you can reassemble correctly. Have seen vibration from mixing them up.
