I bought a 400 Continuous Watt inverter a few days ago and ran it with a 13 in TV and VCR, about 100 continuous watts power, thru the Cig Lighter/accessory for about two hours, shut it off. The next day I turned it back on and it would go into overload. Returned it for a refund.
Bought another one today and ran it with nothing plugged into the AC side and it ran about 1 minute and blew a fuse in the dash.
Replaced the fuse in the dash and tried it again and same thing.
Maybe the cig lighter connector on the inverter is faulty so I used the battery clamps to connect it directly to the battery and a couple pops and a little smoke I think something inside got fried.
My cig lighter/accessory works great for my cell phone and my GPS so I don’t think
There is any thing faulty there.
I’m not sure what to do.
Maybe these inverters don’t work.
Any help would be appretiated
