Lower intake manifold bolts are torqued to 30 ft lbs and upper intake bolts to 17 ft lbs. Make sure the engine is TBC #1 cylinder and mark the distributor body to the manifold and the rotor to the distributor body before you pull it to make sure the timing is good to go. You don't need to remove the EGR valve and throttle body from the upper manifold to get the manifold off. Most items can stay mounted to make job easier. And while you have the lower manifold off go ahead and get the heater hose fitting swapped out to a steel one if you have the pot metal one installed. You can either go with a conventional nipple and heater hose or the new style QD fitting. When I did mine I used the Fel Pro gaskets and have had no problem with them, just other problems with the MAP sensor, fuel injectors and such since I did my overhaul. And like others said replace the water pump and hoses while you have it apart.
