I have been using a Battery Minder since last year to charge my popup deep-discharge batteries and maintain them over the winter. Also using it to maintain the battery for my summer-only Mustang GT.

Apparently, it uses a high-frequency signal that is at the resonant frequency necessary to physically destroy the deposits that occur from sulfation. At least that's what they claim. It works well as a charger, but I can't vouch for the anti-sulfation feature. In speaking with other engineers, this is a legitimate method to prolong battery life and is used by some companies that use lots of batteries (forklift, etc).

For $49.95, I took a chance that this is really a better unit than a regular trickle charger.

Best way to check their claims would be to see if it could recover a battery that already had sulfonation problems.

: I am looking for a maintenance charger for my PopUp Camper and my Suburban battery for long periods of storage. The BatteryMinder claims to be the best and that it will prevent and even reverse sulfation while others wont. Is the BatteryMinder a good product ? Is it superior to other maintenance chargers ? Any other suggestions for a maintenance charger ?

: Thanks in advance
