If you plan to "flat tow" the jeep I would remove the rear driveshaft and unlock the front hubs. I have a pretty well modified CJ also and use a trailer wherever I go. It is not worth the wear and tear on my running gear to not trailer my jeep. You can check out a pic of my jeep loaded on my trailer on page 2 of my website www.aphlac.com . I used to have a '94 k2500 diesel suburban, but have since realized (after doing lots of mods) that the diesel would not do what I wanted/expected. I got a 99 k2500 7.4 and have found this is the perfect tow vehicle for our rockcrawling events. Please let me know if you need more info.
