Thanks for the input fellas.

Yes it is a 2WD.

I'm gunna take the driveshaft out and check everything. I'm a little too chicken to set her running on jackstand. I don't know how many houses it would take out before it stopped if it came off them ;)

Any idea on the temp and oil pressure? Where did you guys get your Factory Service Manuals? I would rather do that than get Chilton's.

Thanks,
Kent

: Assume it's a 2WD, but will also work for 4x4.

: Jack up the two rears off pavement. Make sure fronts are blocked forward and reverse REALLY good.

: Start engine and put it into gear. IF the noise/vibes aren't there, it's most likely the tires.

: If still there, it's NOT the tires.

: Stop engine.

: Remove tires/wheels. Make sure the drum safety clip are on or put back the lug nuts and snug them on.

: Start engine and put it in gear. If it goes away, it's a wobble in the tire/wheels.

: If it's still there, it's NOT the wheels.

: Stop engine.

: Remove the front U-Joint and suspend the drive shaft making sure it stays away from the output yoke.

: Start engine and put it in gear. If it goes away, then the problem is in the drive shaft and/or diff.

: If it's still there, then it's in the tranny/engine. Most likely mounts are lose or gone or bad.

: You can now take it to a mechanic with confidence of where it is and not have to pay for them poking around.

: If 4x4, then all four off pavement and add sequence for front tires/wheels/driveshaft. This is more DANGEROUS, so take precautions.

: Good hunting.
