Any Thoughts Would be Appreciated

Good Morning all,

It been awhile since I have been out here. I need help, and am at wits end. I am getting a misfire code on my 96. Not that strange. Howerver, if I clear the code, keep the truck under 65mph the truck will not register a misfire, but over 70, and the misfire appears within minutes. I have been trying to figure this out for over three months. I cleared the code on Septemeber 1, drove the truck for a month and never broke 65mph. On October 1 I took the Sub out for a drive, accelerated to 72, and within 5 minutes the SES was flashing, and the computer logged another misfire.

I have replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and had a mechanic friend do a injector flush. The crank sensor has been replaced, I have installed two new cats, and four new O2 sensors. And at this point I am frankly about out of ideas.

Its a 1996 K1500 Sububan LT, 5.7L, Auto. I am currently at about 165K on the original engine and tranny.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Aaron
