'99 burb is coming up on its 60K service, so I have a question to ask. How's the best way to go about having the transmission fluid & filter changed out?
1. I know dropping the pan will get the filter, but only 5 of the 12 quarts of fluid.
2. Having some grease monkey with a machine do it will get all 12 quarts, but leaves the old filter.
3. If I drop the pan myself and change the filter out, should that be done before or after the tranny flush? In other words, run new fluid through the old filter or old fluid through a new filter?
Or is there a way to drain the torque converter while putting in a new filter...
