Just went through this with my '90 Honda Accord EX. The CDMV sent me to a "test only" center. Ouch! Failed miserably. Turned out I need a new O2 sensor and a new cat. $500 later.....
Oh well, this vehicle has 260K miles and actually costs very little to operate, usually. My son is using it as college transportation.
