Based upon what I could glean from #1 son page and google searches that turned up a lot of links to this site it appears that my manual transfer case uses Dexron III so I'll be using the Mobil 1 ATF.

Here's what I summarized so far and they are also my instructions to the shop (lost my shop space):

Please use Teflon tape or paste on plugs when re-sealing all plugs

Transmission to be power flushed including:
Drop of pan and clean out
Change filter
Fill with regular ATF
Circulate fluid by starting car
Power flush with Mobil 1 atf
Provided: Gasket, filter, 14 quarts Mobil 1 Atf

F & Rear differentials use Mobil 1 75W-90 7 quarts total
Change Front Differential fluid.
Remove drain & fill plugs.
Reinstall drain plug to 24 ft-lbs.
Fill with 3 qts.
Install fill plug to 24 ft-lbs.
Provided: 3 qts oil

Change rear differential fluid.
Remove 14 bolt cover, and fill plug.
Clean back of cover and magnet.
Install new gasket and torque cover in criss cross fashion bolts to: 20 ft-lbs.
Fill with stated capacity 7.2 pints.
Torque filler plug to 26 ft-lbs.
Provided: Cover Gasket, 4 qt oil

Change Manual Transfer case fluid.
Manual transfer case uses Mobil 1 ATF
Open fill plug and drain plug s.
Tighten drain plug to 15 lbs.
Fill with ATF provided.
Tighten fill plug to 15 lbs.

There is a potential problem with the drain and fill plugs being too tight due to over torque.
This may require a heat gun (no flames) to loosen up around plug first. (see TSB page)

Provided: 3 qts Mobil 1ATF

Total Mobil 1 Synthetic Atf provided 19 quarts
Total Mobil 1 Synthetic 75W90 gear oil 7 quarts

: Based on my 1996 GMC SLT 3/4 ton Suburban K3500/7.4L/4.1 G80 +148K miles.

: Front diff: +2 quarts mobil 1 synthetic. I also add moly.

: Rear diff: 2.5 quarts mobil 1 synthetic. G80 has clutches so don't add any moly nor LS additive, even though Eaton says/claims G80 is also a LS.

: Tranny 14-16 quarts Mobil 1 synthetic, but switching back to dino for budget reasons and sold the +8.5K lb boat.

: Transfer case you have to buy GM, as it's special spec. Don't know if any of the after market has reformulated or not, most likely not as too expensive for only one badge.

: Hydrobooster/power steering fluid is 2-3 quarts, but usually go 4 quarts, as flush whole system every 24 months. Tried Valvoline synthetic, but leaker in hydrobooster and suspect the Valvoline, as other boards have reported leaks. Am now using dino, but PeteL did post some new stuff, but didn't/forgot to save. Hope PeteL is reading and repost (he's mostly on the road and painfull dial up motel city). I had switched to synthetic because the GM stuff moooooed and groaned like a cow when cold...not loudly, but just enough to barely hear.

: Check #1 Son's site. Has DIY for hydrobooster, tranny and other fluid flush. Saves tons and satisfaction of DIY.

: Don't forget the 11 zerks...some have 12th and it's on the front drive shaft. Again, #1 Son's site has the link to another that has the HOW2 DIY and pictures.
