I've looked a #1Sons site and the old posts, so here goes!
Tranny flush and fill w/ Amsoil ATF, DIY flush. My twist on the DIY tranny flush. Drain, Drop pan, new filter & gasket & top off. FYI the Amsoil site has a very similar DIY flush procedure.
(new twist) Why can't I just start with 2 buckets, 1 for old fluid, 1 full of new fluid. Start truck, using a drill pump, pump new fluid in at the same rate as is being dumped out of the output line. Am I missing something here? Seems easier than starting and stopping. Comments? Please! Also, B&M Tranny cooler W/ the fan.
Cooling system, flush and replace Deathcool w/ Shell ELC (good for 300K according to Shell). Should I do all hoses or are they still good at 60K??? I'm in Tucson, AZ so the heat can be tough.
Front and rear Diffs, and transfer case with GM Blue stuff.
PS flush, fluid?
Brake System flush & bleed w/ valvoline syn DOT $ then with ATE Super Blue DOT4 fluid along with PD pads on fresh turned rotors & SS lines, & speed bleeders if I can get them. Sorry, not enough Jack for the rotor kit!
Fuel filter, Passenger compartment air filter, serp belt and tensioner pully, Amsoil 2 stage oiled foam air filter.
Amsoil oil filter or Bypass remote filter kit. Oil??? M1 5-W30 now, thinking of going with M1 5-W40, or Amsoil 10-W40
Any input on the bypass system. I'd like a preoiler too but $$$ will be thin. I'm doing all of this stuff to my 93 J30 and boat also.
The spring time get expensive around my house!!! Got to get the toys ready to brave the Arizona desert sun and heat!!!
Thanks!!!!
