I've been mostly a lurker here, usually when I've had truck problems. I've got a '95 K2500 Suburban that's my daily driver. In summer it gets plenty of towing duty, but lately the primary duty is keeping Chevron highly profitable. These $80 fillups in SoCal are killing me!
When my (+) battery termination began giving me fits, I already knew the reason. A year ago, I had copied the text from Ben's repair and saved it on my computer. Looking for any updates, I almost BLEW A GASKET when I got a 404 going to #1 Son's Suburban page. It couldn't be gone! No way. (I had the old address)
Next stop, this message board. Thankfully this thread had Ben's great photo and the link to #1 Son's page.
From Ben's description, I didn't have a clear idea of what was involved until I ripped into the cable clamp. My repair is done, and I took a few photos of the process. I apologize for the quality, My buddy's Sony camera isn't exactly state-of-the-art. It uses a floppy disk for storage(?) and he's got it set so he can save about 50 mediocre photos on a floppy disk....
Looks like I can post one photo per reply, so I'll post 5 photos below. I used a slightly different approach from Ben's.
