I posted a little while ago about dual batteries and learned there are several ways to do it, However I have a simple question. Can I just run a cable from the pos of the main bat to the pos of the aux bat and a cable from the neg of the aux bat to ground ? I know I should use an isolator and I eventually will once I decide which method I want to use and can spend the money on two Optimas. If I hook it up the way I mentioned if one battery goes bad it will drain the other, But I am not worried about that now. I will still have the extra power of dual batteries, But will they both charge right ? Another person on here I believe said his is installed that way, Is that all they do from the factory with the dual battery option ??
