Not so, really says it gets ***THAT*** hot. Not many propane grills can get hot enough to soften steel, even buddies +$2K grill.
Cast iron is thicker, so even if softened, won't/shouldn't bend as easily.

No, not enough burner jets, but does decent enough for side dishes that go with a BBQ. Mostly a veggie toss. Wind a problem though, as it cools such a large surface area.
Considered putting larger burner, but then easier to just do it in the kitchen.
