Recent posts detail the process of upgrading the CS120 105A alternator to the larger CS144 140A alternator.
Alterstart makes a high output 180A alternator that is a drop-in replacement for the CS120. This eliminates the need to modify mounting brackets needed for the larger CS144 alternator.
To handle the extra juice, Alterstart recommends upgrading the battery recharge power cable to a 4 gauge (which they also sell).
Any reason why I wouldn't want to go with this solution?
