As a recent convert to Praise Dyno pads, I can attest to much improved characteristics over OEM. The pedal is very solid, and the vehicle stops, IMHO, in a much more controllable manner. With OEM, pedal effort was mushier, and there was more evidence of fading under hard braking. What further amazes me, is how hard the PD's can slow you down WITHOUT invoking ABS.

A final point is wear factor. Older Subs are notorious for poor front pad wear (numerous issues; all discussed in excruciating detail on this board..) I'm lucky; I've got an '01 2500 Sub with 4-wheel discs. I swapped my pads at 36K miles, and (suprisingly) still had lots of OEM material left. On my '94 Sub, I was lucky to get 20K out of a set of front pads (whereas rear shoes last forever...). PD's will not necessarily extend your brake pad life, so if you need to replace every 15K, cost is a definite issue. On older Sub's , PD makes a rear brakes shoe kit that improves matters somewhat.

If you want signficicantly improved braking, PD's will deliver; but you may have to pay the price.

: I have been reading some older posts, and i see a lot of talk about Praise brakes, and it all seems to be really good. I am just curious as to how they are better, and what do you notice different in using them. And then of course, how much do they run, and where do you get them? Thanks for the help. Hey, this is an awesome forum!
