After posting my last message, I realized I left out a few things.
First, I forgot to mention that I've only pursued Praise Dyno's STAGE 1 brake pads so far. I put them on the stock rotors, and will be gauging wear of both pads and stock rotors. I will only consider trying the PD rotors once the stock stuff is completely worn out.
Second, it occured to me that one of the more remarkable things about this board is that we converse about a vehicle that spans 60 years of manufacture! Although realistically, I doubt there's very many left pre-dating the 1980's. Within the Suburban line, there's tons of diversity; suspensions, axles, engines, trannys, brakes, etc. We need to keep that in mind before trying to SINGLE out a cause or solution.
